Blackheath Residential Moves : Free Quote

Casey’s residential moving service begins simply by understanding that planning is critical to any successful move. Each move is unique and your specific requirements must be recognised and built into the quotation. A pre-move survey by a Casey’s Removal estimator is the easiest and most effective means of starting this process. You will also have the opportunity to meet us and know the company you are entrusting (we hope) with your move.

The estimator will determine your property’s contents and the general size of your move, the resources needed for the removal and talk you through the moving process. A comprehensive quotation will be given at no cost and with no obligation.

If you work during the day time, our convenient evening and weekend Quotation Service is ideal offering sufficient flexibility to fit around your schedule.

We don’t recommend it, except for the smallest and simplest of moves, but you can use our online form to obtain a same day quotation.

Casey’s Removals Review:

We used Casey’s to move our very full 2-bed flat. The packing service was fantastic, the staff were helpful and friendly and they packed all our things carefully but quickly.

On removal day, they managed to empty the flat by the allotted time and then moved us into our new property, re-building all the furniture they’d taken down and making sure everything was in the right place. Again the team were friendly and efficient and none of our belongings were damaged.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Casey’s for packing and removals, the service received both on the phone and in person was superb.

About Blackheath

The popular myth is that Blackheath derives its name from the Black Death plague of 1665. Though the area suffered as much as other parts of London the name derives from the old English – ‘dark coloured heathland’.

For the most part Blackheath has been associated with rebellions. It was a meeting place for both the Peasant’s revolt of 1381 and Jack Cade’s rebellion of 1450. The Cornish rebellion was defeated here in battle in 1497. Travelers along the London-Dover road were always in danger from Highwaymen as they travelled this lonely bleak stretch of road.

Development of the Heath and its surrounds started in the 17th century and has continued through to the current day. Large houses were constructed for the wealthy closely followed by more working-class suburbs needed to house the multitude of staff and servants needed to run these houses.

Today Blackheath has a very cosmopolitan feel to it with café culture, bars, restaurants and much street life. The Heath itself is popular for kite flying, wind skate-boarders and for taking the dog for a brisk walk. It is also home to fairs, a music festival and football matches. Perhaps the biggest event of all is each April as it hosts the start of the London Marathon.
