Bagattis
Style: Italian, Pizza, Vegetarian Friendly
56-58 South End, Croydon CR0 1DP
Website: http://www.bagattis.com/

Nick from Croydon gives his honest opinion about his experience at eating at Bagattis in Croydon:

Too expensive for the quantity/quality. Overall is not a bad restaurant at all and the quality of the food was ok! But if I have to compare the quantities of the food served, with quality and price than in my opinion everything is a bit overpriced, from the Wine to every single dish, especially because in not central of London but just Croydon).

Nineteen at Farleigh

Old Farleigh Road, Warlingham, Croydon CR6 9PE
Website: https://www.farleighfox.co.uk/dine/nineteen

The following review about Nineteen at Farleigh, comes from David:

The Best Carvery We Have Had! We had been recommended by friends who come during the week, but we decided to try the Sunday Carvery – and we were totally impressed by the spacious restaurant, the attentive (but not intrusive) staff, wide choice of starters and desserts and the main roasts were delicious. Top notch all round. We will be back!

Galicia
Style: Mediterranean, Spanish, Vegetarian Friendly
269-275 High Street, Croydon CR0 1QH
Website: http://www.galiciarestaurant.co.uk/

A bit of a mixed bag of reviews, so here is the good and not so good reviews about Croydon’s Galicia

First, here is Yarrow’s experience:

Its still good. Went this week after a long absence. The staff have changed but it is as busy as ever. Good varied tapas menu with larger than average portions. Excellent clams, garlic prawns and monkfish skewer but whitebait only mediocre. They forgot this so maybe it was cooked quickly.. Sketchy service which improved once the waiter changed. Seems still the place to go for a reasonably priced meal in a lively, buzzy atmosphere. Don’t go if you want a quiet night!

And the other end of the spectrum, Sony from London:

Walked out! Love this restaurant and have been going there for years. However myself and hubby tried to book a table few days before and was told we didn’t need to book we would get a table for the Saturday night. Upon arriving we waited at the entrance for someone to acknowledge us and request a table for 2 but waited for 10 mins before anyone came over. it was very busy lots of big parties and very noisy. The waiter came over and said it would be a 30 min wait and to have a drink at the bar to which we did. Whilst waiting we noticed a lot of people were coming in after us and being seated now I understand some larger parties probably did book, but then overheard a couple who arrived after us and were familiar with the waiter asking for a table as they didn’t want to wait to long to which he replied “leave it with me” il get you seated next!!! It seems if your known to staff then you get want you want. There seems to be no system from arriving to being seated. No name taken etc, Or if your in a large party then your given special treatment. After waiting 45 mins It seems we were forgotten about, so decided to leave and go elsewhere. We won’t be having our annual work Xmas party here or visiting there ever again.

Cote d’Azur
Style: French, Seafood, Grill
18 Selsdon Road, Croydon CR2 6PA
Website: https://www.cotedazurcroydon.co.uk/

Stewart gives his feedback about eating at Cote d’Azur in Croydon:

Amazing food served in a fine dining atmosphere. David is a brilliant chef. Each dish is individually created so it’s worth waiting for. Particular culinary highlights; The Crab soup, Chicken liver pate -AMAZING, Oysters- Fresh Whitstable Oysters,The three Fish dish, Steaks TRIMMED and cooked as you ordered-we only eat his Steak as all other restaurants can’t be bothered to trim the steaks (remove sinuous tissue), the Duck a l’orange. The Cote d’Azur continues to be the best fine dining restaurant in in the Croydon area.

Yumn Brasserie
Style: European, British, Grill
69-71 South End, Croydon CR0 1BF
Website: http://www.yumnbrasserie.co.uk/

Trixie from Luton says this about eating at Yumn Brasserie in Croydon:

Great experience! This is my second time visiting Yumn for a family Sunday dinner. The decor is lovely and the staff are very welcoming. We had the set Sunday menu which is really good value for money and the food is amazing. The only slight negative would be that the children’s menu should be a little bit cheaper. However, I would definitely recommend and will be back!
