Fancy a Chinese?

There are times when you don’t really fancy cooking dinner or you just want to go out and eat. Living in Bromley, you have such a wide range of choice of restaurants to choose from, so with a little help from TripAdvisor, we have compiled a list of the Top 10 Chinese restaurants in Bromley according to their popularity and reviews.

Xian
324 High Street, Orpington, Bromley BR6 0NG
Website: NONE

The following review comes from Phil from London, where he gives his experience at eating at Xian‘s in Orpington, Bromley

Hidden Gem, I’ve read some reviews about Xian being expensive and the staff not being Friendly………Nothing could be further from the truth, The food is top quality and I’m a great believer of “You get what you pay for”, Sure you can go to a Chinese down the road and pay a few quid less but expect the quality to match the price.

The staff are warm and friendly but do have a job to do and with this restaurant always packed to the rafters I wouldn’t expect them to to make idle chit chat and leave customers without food or drinks so the people who feel the staff could be more friendly may want to consider these guys are rushed off their feet.

Now to the best bit…….The food, I’d recommend the following dishes, Crispy Chilli Beef, Chicken & Cashew nuts, Salt and pepper chicken and the scallops..

In summary if you want to spend a tenner and eat Chinese ring up your local Chinese take away, If however you want a nice evening out with a few drinks and first class cuisine then book early and visit Danny Victor and Sue at the Xian (Special mention to the waiter Steve).

The following review comes via Lynne from London:

Great family dinner! We went to the Mandarin Palace to celebrate a significant birthday. The staff were really pleasant and chose our menu for us. The food was delicious and way too much to eat! The food we didn’t eat was packed up for us to take home and we enjoyed it again the following day! There was no rush so we had lovely chilled evening

Crown of Bromley

Website: NONE

Joe from Beckenham says this about his eating experience at the Crown of Bromley:

BRILLIANT!!!!!! First and foremost it is now the crown of Bromley, having visited today I am proud to say I walked out with a smile on my face and a very happy belly, one of the waiters were brilliant as well! It’s a shame I didn’t catch his name but he was just under average height and Chinese and was just a delight throughout my visit

Peking Diner
71 Burnt Ash Lane, Grove Park, Bromley BR1 5AA
Website: NONE

Toni has this to say about the Peking Diner in Bromley:

The best Chinese place in SE London! I can’t hype this place up enough!! My husband and I have been ordering takeaways and going for all-you-can-eat buffets over the past 2 years and not once has anything been off. Super duper staff and the food quality is really fantastic. It is also really reasonably priced 🙂

Treasure of China
2 West street bromley, Bromley BR1 1RF, England
Website: http://treasureofchina.com/

Stephen from Teddington ate at the Treasure of China and this is what he thought:

Excellent food not over seasoned. Ambience is good, tables set properly for a Chinese restaurant. Food was excellent, well presented and definitely NOT over seasoned in any way. Some people might have said it was under seasoned. But if that means being able to taste the chicken and the lemon in the lemon chicken and have a choice to add a touch of seasoning, then that’s alright by me. Staff attentive and friendly. Prices reasonable.

King Palace
346-348 High Street, Orpington, Bromley BR6 0NQ
Website: http://kingpalace.co.uk/

Following a meal at the King Palace, Chris from Orpington posted his review on TripAdvisor, and this is what he thought:

Highly recommended! We were a group of six. Very good Chinese food and service as usual. Not many in the restaurant but it was a Tuesday evening.

Oriental Garden
85A Chatterton Road, Chatterton Village, Bromley BR2 9QQ
Website: NONE

The following review comes via Sammy from Bromley:

Great Local Takeaway! It is no longer a dining in restaurant but what a great takeaway. The crispy aromatic duck really is crispy and not oily. Same for the other dishes like the Chowmein, it all tastes very fresh and the flavours stand out. Easily the best Chinese takeaway locally.

Ming
23 Station Square, Petts Wood, Orpington, Bromley BR5 1LY,
Website: http://www.mingrestaurant.net/

Sasher gives their thoughts about Ming:

Return Visit…Been here many times and always find it good food and service. Not really expensive but mid range prices .Well worth a visit

Rice Republic
161 Streatham High Road, London SW16 6EG
Website: http://www.ricerepublic.co.uk/

Though not in Bromley, Streatham isn’t that too far away, and as this was No.10, we though it should be included. Here is Diana’s review:

Super Friendly, fresh ingredients, nice gluten-free, simple fare, good prices. My husband and I are regulars to this hidden gem on Streatham High Rd. The staff is really friendly, and they always have tables available early on. I am gluten-free, and they custom make a cashew chicken for me every time. The prices are nice, and its a cozy easy-going atmosphere.
